Shigeru Kannari established a private construction company and appointed Som Sokrady to president post. The company success registered in general construction company was named PHNOM PENH CONSTRUCTION.

Som Sokrady contacted to Japanese main contractor for to be a sub-contractor at first business.

Som Sokrady decided to call Som Monorak for control engineering work of construction site.

Som Monorak established a department of engineering management and appointed Som Khannara as engineering manager. The company got well-known of Cambodia. Som Monorak and Som Khannara called Som Sangkhar for control the general accounting of the company.

The company was renamed from PHNOM PENH CONSTRUCTION to S.O.M CORPORATION, LTD., whom Oknha Som Chheng as a chairman.

With the extension of the business, the construction work was incorporated into a joint stock company with the capital of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand (750,000.00) US Dollars.

The company was registered in general construction company, and the company’s achievement in the field of construction has been widely recognized. Shigeru Kannari and Som Sokrady has resignation from S.O.M for establish private company by themselves.

The company established quite a number of Divisions as follows: Administration Division, Civil Engineering Division, Architectural Engineering Division, Planning & Coordinating Division, and Production & Repairing Division for starting the management of business. The company appointed Som Monorak as President this year.
The current paid-up capital of the company is Two million (2,000,000.00) US Dollars due to repeated increase of capital.
